That's Three

A few clues for you.

Do I really need to say it?

Last night I broke implement #3, a thicker wooden dowel that was bought to replace the last one I, or rather my bottom, broke. That makes three implements in a little under two weeks.

Oh, but it gets worse.

Much worse.

On one of my previous posts about breaking implements, someone commented that I should be careful because Steve might decide to get something a little more durable. I'm sad to say they were right.

The addition of the wooden dowels to our implement collection came about because Steve learned about canes. He figured the dowels were similar enough to give him an idea of whether it would be effective and also whether he'd like it. Well they are effective and he does like it. Needless to say, I would have preferred he never learn about it.

Since I keep breaking the dowels, he has decided to quit fooling around with cheap imitations and go for the real thing. He told me to order a cane. Ugh!

    1. Thanks Wilma. I thought you'd like the Superman undies. Do you think I can figure out how to behave before the dreaded cane arrives?

  2. Well, you tell him if he wants to order a cane, order it himself! Okay, no, don't do that! But, it does seem so unfair when our HOHs make us purchase implements of doom. Hmmmph! Guess you'd better be on your best behavior, huh?

    1. Yeah having to order it for him makes it even worse. I wonder if he'd believe that there was a sudden world-wide shortage of canes. LOL

  3. I don't think I would tolerate a cane too well. Maybe it will come in a "damaged package" and "already be broken"... hmmm. God Bless You and Yours with all that is good... especially good behavior, good attitude, good "ideas"... LOL.. -Belle L.

  4. I've never had the pleasure of the kiss from a cane and I hope to keep it that way!
I hope it's not to bad for you!
    Good Luck!

    1. I was hoping to avoid it too, but I didn't win that argument. Hopefully he'll save it for really bad offenses so I can avoid it most of the time.

  6. Hi Dana,

Oh no! Sorry to hear this (love the pics though). Oops, I think it might have been me that made that comment.

I hear you, Rick has just 'acquired' a cane. Guess we both better behave eh?

As for making you order it; I'm with Grace!

  7. Oh dear Lord....I would die. Well, not really...but sheesh. Those things look deadly....okay, okay I am not helping here am I? Maybe we can think of some way out of this......remember my idea to make crafts out of wooden spoons???? Maybe you can do the same with a cane....maybe??

Otherwise, my only idea is to be good....but if you are like me, that will only last so long. Maybe the Witness Protection Program....they can relocate you somewhere.....

Hope you are having a good day...and more importantly that you are being good!

    1. Of all the implements I've came across online, the cane definitely ranks up there with the most scary. Maybe I should make a thick padded case to store the cane in. Steve will be so pleased I want to protect our implements he might not notice if I "accidentally" spill super glue in the case before putting the cane in. Or I could fall back on my habit of leaving the mail in my car until it disappears under the seat.

I am being good today. After getting spanked two days in a row and having a close call yesterday, I figured it might be a good idea to behave for a change.
